  'Above Lake Khasan and Khalkin Gol' (Product code: SPS 72007. $8.00)

A superbly researched sheet featuring fourteen aircraft that take part in the 1938/9 Far Eastern border skirmishes with Japanese forces and their proxies at Lake Khasan and the Khalkin Gol River. Instructions are in English and Russian.

Antonov An-2 'Kukuruzhnik' (Product code: SPS 72008. $8.00)

Another very colorful sheet from Print Scale, dedicated this time to the An-2 'cornhusker'. The Russian schemes are most accurate and very eye-catching, especially the two Polar Aviation Directorate schemes. The East German option is let down slightly by the somewhat confused NVA insignia, which are a mixture of early and late design elements. Help is at hand, though, in the form of TOM's 1/72 scale NVA insignia decal sheet, also available from Linden Hill.
